Children's riding camps and horsemanship programs

If you're a child who adores horses and loves nothing more than to be at the
stables, then one of Petit Galop's camps could be a dream come true!

Our horsemanship programs and camps for children are offered
YEAR-ROUND - WEEKENDS, SUMMER and HOLIDAYS. They are designed
for horse enthusiasts who are ready to experience both the joy and the
responsibility of having their own horse.

Each student is assigned a horse or pony of their own to ride, care for and
love. Riding programs are taught by caring professionals and are individually
tailored to each rider’s specific area of interest; whether her riding goals are
to compete in horse shows or to simply enjoy a leisurely trail ride through the
countryside.

Through thoughtful, in-depth instruction in riding, hands-on horse care and
stable management children gain true horsemanship skills and are able to
experience a more rewarding and meaningful relationship with horses.

Our goal is to instill a sense of accomplishment and responsibility while having
fun in a safe, nurturing environment. Each student is sure to make great new
friends, build confidence, measurably improve her riding skills and gain a
deeper respect, understanding and appreciation for horses and nature.

away camp. We appreciated the high level of cleanliness,
the level of supervision (both on and off the horses), the
quality of the horses and top condition of the tack, and the
good food and meals -- served family style. Even the
non-equine events were good experiences. We plan to
return to Petit Galop this summer. It is a great program for
children that love horses and the outdoors!"

"Our twins love it so much they would like to move there.
They forgo traditional birthday parties to have a weekend
there in the spring. The camp is very special and lovely and
the kids simply love it. It is small and it is focused on
horses so if you are looking for a traditional camp with lots
of campers and other activities, this may not be for your
daughter. If your daughter loves being around horses,
playing with them, feeding them, taking care of them and
riding them she will love it. "

"We had a perfect experience at Petit Galop.
Delia, who was only eight last summer and had never been
to sleepaway camp, was scheduled for two weeks and
stayed for four. She was ecstatic about her experience -
learned about taking care of horses and their different
personalities, made great progress in her riding, loved the
family feeling of the camp. She took pride in her
responsibilities, and genuinely knows a huge amount about
horses and their behavior. She is begging to go for the
whole summer this year.
